Great Video! Thanks.
ps sorry about the typing , I’M trying to get BACK TO PLAYING
this is a part tht Pepe and Angel both dis agree on but as Pepe ican play as fast as Paco de Lucia I think you may try it.
If your not a pro Classical guitarist who can play the upper level of the repetoire ( Chaconne. Concierto de Aranjuez etc.) please refrain from commenting.
you should watch Pepe romero playing befored you make comments
also this is rest stroke.
look st guitr4mysoul44 to see it slow motion
I don’t think you should flex the middle joint while extending the knuckle joint with the ‘i’ free stroke. Lutemann’s videos
this is a candelas guitar
Thank you Mr. Hunley. These lessons are very helpful to my forever learning of the classical guitar.
What model guitar is that?
There are good intentions in this video… It was done obviously by some one who cares about sharing techniques ! Google guitarules for Spanish guitar techniques
please tell that to Pepe Romero
yoges the guitar must be straight not laying in your legs
Yes where the flesh meet the nail but flesh stops the note , getting the begining and end of each note.
Good video, I like that you explain the purpose of the technique. Very detailed.
Are you preparing from where the nail meets the flesh, or actually from the pad of the fingertip?
This video is intended for my students and
their personal reference,it was not posted by me or I would disable the comments,
i am happy to help others but really don’t need to defend main stream technique to non professional players, if it helps great and if you don’t like it thats cool too best of luck
James
Greetings my friend!
I am writing this letter to publicly endorse and recommend your teaching. I know you are giving technical and musical guidance, which developing guitarists need in order to achieve mastery. I also know that you encourage students by your own inspired example to bring out their own inner musician and experience the joy of personally connecting to the guitar.
Pepe Romero
When playing you want to use the natural shape of the hand
this is based on Tarregas method of playing.
(Pujol)
I ‘m not pushing the string to the side but I am using the left side of the tip of the index finger.
See Charles Duncan, (the art of classical guitar )Pepe romero and the segovia school (Bobri) for better understanding of left hand Technique.
good luck on your playing.
James
ps this is also based on 31 years of study and 400+ concerts it works well.
good luck
j
hmmm isent it better to push the string down and not to the side ? if you push it down you’ll get a much deeper sound
