A short tutorial demonstrating some Brazilian rhythms, then how they can be applied to Antonio Carlos Jobim’s song “Meditation.” My very first youtube upload, I’m happy to receive feedback! Video Rating: 4 / 5

great vid
HI, that is cool, because I am CRAZY about Brazilian music and really want to get into it. I really look foreward to it )
Hi zezt, for my next video I’ll do the same batch of rhythms a little slower I’ll take that into account for my next video, but for the moment I don’t have a camera… :/ that will be my project this summer
you should slow it down for a little so people can get it the rhythm. you just do it straight off and it is hard to get it if your not used to it
thank u.. great playing
beautiful <3<3<3

Nice. I’ll learn alot from this. Thanku from UK Somerset. Could you prehaps do a video with even more Brazilian rhtyms? You are a great teacher!
Thanks for this! I had a plan to arrange something “samba cancão” tonight .. thanks for the menu of rhythms!
This is fantastic! Thank you for the post! yoko
I uploaded a new video regarding your question. Let me know what you think.
Thank you for this lovely video. I really appreciate the angle it was filmed at so that I could see the thumb and fingers. I love Brazilian guitar and am hoping to move beyond the basic 2-bar bossa nova rhythm which I can now do fluently. Thank you for your help. Lovely Playing!
Great playing. Great tutorial. Would you be so kind as to demonstrate in a future video the difference between “anticipated”and syncopated beats. They seem prevalent in Brazilian guitar, but I don’t know what they mean.
I went to Rio de Janeiro in 2008 to learn about Choro and Samba. I pulled some things off music I heard and people I played with, others from books.
Nice! did you learn on your own?
