get your action checked it might be too high
is bending harder on an acoustic guitar? i cant bend a whole step make it sound 2 frets higher.
Sorry for my very late reply. Make a video and explain this. It would be AWSOME (Marty-ism) if you did that. Let me know and thanks.
I’m 15 and have been playing for a little over two years. I found that ‘twisting’ the string with your forefinger and ring finger( fore finger higher on the fret board, ring finger on the fret you’re bending) in addition to bending it makes the note go farther and can make a higher note with less of a bend. Sorry for the late reply, but I hope it helps.
man, marty is the shit!
i recognized your voice, you are marty schwartz, i love you man you taught me a lot!
This must be the single most valuable lesson I’ve seen ever and I’ve seen hundreds, at least. Thank you very much!
i used to have the same problem, but eventually you really just kind figure out how to let go of bends without catching other strings, but it still happens, but like the other guy said just practice, and even practice just your bends and practice finger placement when bending and stuff it helps, and make sure to use more than one finger to bend, so its not so much pressure on one finger point and it wont dig hard under another string….. it helps

How the FRACK to you keep from pushing the string you’re bending over or under the next string up? I always get this awful THUNK noise or end up sounding other strings. I’M SICK OF SUCKING AT BENDING. help?
