I like what he said about not having to think about it too much, I’m never conscious if i’m strumming up or down or up up down down, i find it easy listening to the song and listening to strum pattern of song and basing it off that and for the most part it always sounds good. but its cool learning techniques and what not.

You can always play the bar chords as open chords with whichever song you wish to learn. It might not sound fantastic but it’ll still get you practacing!
