Well I play left handed so it’s fine for me
I have found a way to find any note on any string on the guitar fretboard.
I call it the Magic keys. It can be learn and use in minutes, not hours or days or years.
Why did not someone think of this bFore!!!!
With Magic keys, you will be able to find any note quickly. I have though the method to my wife-she is a non guitarist, non musician. She learnt it in about an hour and can find all the natural notes on the fretboard.
Let me know what u think this Radical revolutionary idea!!!
fret, sharp, flat WTF DOES THIS ALL MEAN?? :C I don’t speak music language but I really want to learn
Good to know. Thanks
Now I have to turn my tv upside down
burp at 4:45?
this hurts my head
I set it up that way to simulate the idea that your are looking at someone’s guitar. If you look at someone holding a guitar you will see the same perspective.
the orientation of the fretboard is like for left handed players.
The head of the guitar should be on the left. Not good
for getting a good picture of the notes.
Brilliant.
It’s not that hard. Just remember that you go up two frets to go to the next note except for when you go from E to F and from B to C. Then you only go up one fret. The 12th and the 24th fret will always be the same note as the open string. Open D is a D. The second fret is E, the third fret is F, the fifth fret is G, the seventh fret is A.. If you keep this in mind, you will easily be able to figure every single tuning out without any problems It took me 5 minutes to figure out myself..
you just have to learn the note circle (google it) and the name of the open strings. 1 fret is a semitone, 2 fret is a tone. thats all:P
excellent way to visualize octaves on the fretboard, handy for scales, chords, arpeggios.. intervals.. all over the fretboard. Thanks a lot.!!!
u r GREAT
Thanks Dennis. I’ve been playing Bass by ear all my life. It just doesn’t cut it anymore. I am going to the next level and this has helped A lot !! Hope you continue to keep sharing your knowledge with the rest of the world. Your PPT Presentation Style is easy to understand
Much appreciated !! Peace! And stay Conscious…lol
you just need to modify the pattern for the first string. everything else stays the same. all you need to do is move the first fret in the pattern up two frets to compensate for the dropped note. that’s how the pattern changes. as for the note names just bring it back a whole step except the 6th string. do that 2 whole steps.
E drops to C – 2 whole steps
A drops to G – 1 whole step
D drops to C – 1 whole step
G drops to F – 1 whole step
B drops to A – 1 whole step
e drops to d – 1 whole step
normal person?? yeah i already know the notes on standard tuning its the alternate tunings that im having a trouble memorizing
you stick to normal tuning like a normal person. if you don’t know how to correctly play in standard you shouldn’t be using alternate tunings yet.
Thank you!
just work from the open strings note down the fret board. Different tuning same principle
When you change the tuning of a guitar it changes everything. All the notes are displaced and the pattern does not hold up. I’m sure that with some other tuning, you can find another pattern.
what if im in drop c?? or any other multiple tunings??
why does this sound pitch corrected? are you a robot?
loving this Dennis
