The intro is my own song, called The Colour Of You, will be out on my album late Feb 2013! Well I wrote the riff bit - the songs was completed, co-written with my band.

hey Justin, great lesson. I know a few people who have 12 string and I would love to try one some day. Just one question; are 12 strings good with hammer ons and pull offs?

should you release the tension of the strings on these guitars when not playing it? does the tension create bad action?

Justin, was it Tommy Emmanuel that inspired you to pick up Maton guitars???

  • Flaredragonking 11 years ago

Yes and no, The B and high e strings are the same octave, unlike the E, A, D, and G strings.

  • Denis Kotnik 11 years ago

whats tne name of the song he’s playing at the beginning of the lesson?

  • gallion lion 11 years ago

I believe it’s around 1200.00 plus 240.00 S & H Not sure how that would equate in US currency but probably not too far off the mark. Just seems like a heck of a so to speak “unsupervised” journey for a guitar.

  • Strat0Blues 11 years ago

in australia it would probably cost 3 million dollars

  • Lori A 11 years ago

I want a Maton 12 string mini so bad!! To bad Australia is so darn far from the US.

Justin, is there any chance of getting a tutorial for the Stones’ As Tears Go By. There is this wonderful Shine a Light rendition where Keith uses a 12the string. That would be great. Thanks such much for all your efforts!!!

use a light gauge til you get use to it. earthwood is a good soundin cheap set of strings that have a good long life.
