What about Iron Maiden? Every solo of this band is based on pentatonic scale :)

  • Mkay5150 11 years ago

he actually uses the ionion mode and various key scales, and the hexatonic scale. And im pretty sure he incorporates even more scales in his newer music.

2:02:48 of the same redundancy shit

  • calmdownerrbody 11 years ago

Also, there is a lot of redundancy in this video. For instance, referring to certain phrases as different “modes” as opposed to treating them as different phrases of the same scale (in this context at least). While theoretically justifiable, it is this kind of analysis that can scare beginner/intermediate players. The presentation of this solo could be done with a much more intuitive design, and would be much more approachable.

you should play a random note, if it’s a wrong note the 2 next to it are good notes

    Fantastic. Thank you!

  • blackwolf742 11 years ago

    Genius

THAT is the most important thing about music : using only a lot of theory and technique… The feeling, beauty and all that shit is NOT important AT ALL.

By the way, I love the MIDI instruments, it’s way better than real ones! 5:50 <3
