Visit www.activemelody.com for more guitar lessons like this one. In this guitar lesson video, I show you how to play a slow blues rhythm while mixing in some lead notes at the same time. This style of music is great if you’re playing something by yourself with no accompaniment. Feel free to ask questions if you have them! To download the free jam track for this guitar lesson, visit www.activemelody.com. This lesson teaches you what a double stop is on the guitar and also shows you 2 examples of double stops and how to play them. Double stops are literally just playing 2 notes at once on the guitar and Chuck Berry is a great example of an artist that uses lots of them Video Rating: 4 / 5

can learn this without learning rhythm?
I could watch this again and again. Great stuff.
This is a very good lesson, maybe one of the best I ever saw on the web…. but just a little “bemol”…. in a rythmic point it’s difficult to identify the 1, 2, 3 and 4th time… I think you start with an anacrouse (sorry for my english) i mean before the 1st time but after do you play triplets ???? I hope you understand what I mean
CONGRATULATIONS
|I respect and thank you for your efforts.. but if you listen to the beginning of your demo, it seems like, from a rhythmic point of view.. you are “adding time”, in other words, you are not injecting the leads inbetween the rhythm parts smoothly, and thus it is my belief none of this would work well “musically”. And I do it too. Theres more to this, than what is here.
Buen maestro,muy explicativo y paciente.
Hi, I just discovered your channel and lessons. Like it, thank you, and also what guitar are you playing in this video?
It would help us so much if you guys had a little box in the corner with the TAB of each segment, instead of us writing/replaying/writing…. it takes forever. Just a suggestion, Michael.
If using a metronome, what should be the setting?
algeria canzone

Is that an actual Gibson ES 335? especially in this finish one of the most beautiful guitars ever made
You’ve probably been asked this a million times, but I can’t be bothered to sort through all the comments- what amp/set up are you using? I have an ES335 too, but can’t get the crisp tone which comes across in your video… A Fender, by any chance?
Thanks!

Awesome easy clear instructions , sounds like stormy monday.
Brian, what type of guitar and equipment are you using to achieve this rich, bluesy type sound. I would appreciate your input here, many thx.

How did I miss this lesson? Great stuff – exactly what I’m looking for.
Are the new 2012-2013 ES-335′s any good? Just trying to decide between a new one or a 1997 model. Also the Tokai 335 copy sounds good also.
Nice, thanks! Wasn’t that a bit of Brown Eyed Girl there with the first bit of the demo?
