    He Plays the C Chord in an A shape. It’s a I IV V progression still. But it is a C chord, the CAGED system explains this.

    Yes but this lesson is for people who have, up until now, learned chords through shapes/forms so to keep things practical I have to teach the concept within that framework of understanding. Realising that an entire chord system is made up of 7 notes comes later, and I have videos for that.

    DFA-IV=C…V-E….Basically breaking up eight notes already a chord.

    Ah but the IV chord,just uses one extra note man! It doesn’t create a whole new shape,except one spot..

    Funny IV and 6th note is the same note!Best to use,a flat or sharp instead..
