Even if you don’t get it the first time through, there’s no reason to be discouraged. Marty is an excellent teacher. It’s enjoyable to watch his videos over and over again. This may be a dumb question but ive only been playing guitar for a few months now so don’t be to harsh on me. Anyways, so Ive got pretty much all the necisary chords down to a science but I want to be able to play solos and stuff for any songs I write for my band. Now me and my band can only really play songs with like easy solos to no solos such as immigrant song and come as you are.So my question is, if im playing a song with say chords D an A do i start the solo off from a D root & move to A?
i like this gut for the working theory, been taught thes scales over the years but always stuck with minor
with scales, after you get used to moving around them obviously, is it just a case of a bit of learning some licks and then getting used to it to the point you know by ear, how to put random licks together or is there a system to it that i dont know?
