I wish this lesson would have described how you determine the way the notes you hear should be divided. It’s great that you “divide a four count by two,” or start to play triplets IF YOU KNOW THAT. But beginners do not.
Why not divide everything in half? Or play EVERY note in thirds? What determines that?
I am elderly and a newbie. Bass guitar is on my “bucket list”. Thanks so much for this easy to understand lesson and a chance to learn with a slow-ease non-threatening pace.

great lesson. I knew TrueFire start doing bass lessons sooner or later. Thats good because there are so many people that do just average lessons. Like they might do a 8th note lesson and then a shuffle lesson but having both in the same lesson makes it easier to compare.
