if you start with do re me it s a lost case, better with my ear ,I am good any songs on cdd’s if there is a false note I gat it right away,my dad RIP was playing mandolin and tried to play Dr Jivago,he always had the same false note, I was a teenager at that time,I told him no no no it’s wrong there….until we found it together and he was surprised

Thank you for making tutorial videos on how to play guitar for left-handed ppl.

This is a personal thing that only you can really know, but I know 2 people who similar to you
    1. my son who is a lefty, but learned guitar right handed so he could use my guitars. I even converted one for him but he preferred right handed. He plays really well now.
    2. I taught a local teenager (Rees) who is now in his 20′s, he is left handed but plays right handed guitars and he is now really, really good.

The only advice I can give is to pick one and stick with it.
    (I hope this helps)

I can play a little guitar right-handed including one or two basic barre chords but I want to take playing further this year. If I play air guitar, I immediately revert to a left-handed style. If I was to ask your personal opinion, would you say I should build on my right-handed skills or start from scratch using a left-handed guitar? I have a RH acoustic and just picked up a cheap LH electric guitar. LH feels easy on air guitar but wierd on a real one. What should i do?

  • gchguitaracademy 11 years ago

    Yes.
All the chords are the same for acoustic and electric guitar.

  • BenEtchells2k11 11 years ago

is this the same for acoustic?

  • gchguitaracademy 11 years ago

    Thank you.
But, it is only people watching these videos that makes them worth while doing.

Bought a LH guitar for my 8 yr old – I just know he will sit and listen and watch, rather than read. This is an excellent tutorial !
