What kinds of bass is that??
Diggin what you are throwing at me. Bro Sean, I have a old m.o.m thhat has came back and joined our church again. He said all gospel “penetcostal” is the 1-4-5 pattern, but the “TAB” that i seen on that pattern is totally different from what he is showing me. He is just straight down the neck. I know it is all for the glory but how do I get better if he is showing me the wrong thing?

@henry142003, sorry I don’t know how this comment never got responded to, but yes… the numbers are the degrees of the major scale. There are 7 notes in the major scale, so after 7 the notes begin to repeat. So 9 would actually be the same note as the 2 just played in a higher octave.
ya 1-7 and 8 of course being the octave.
This was helpful, please some new vids breaking down some hymns, and congregational music.
Good stuff it’s helping me out, thanks.
What’s the name of this bass? It has a great sound.
When you mention the numbers 1-9, is that the numbers of the notes in order of the major scale? and things like 345 the common progression?
Thanks for the videos bros!!! They are really helpful to gospel bassist all over the world. God bless:)
