i play guitar and its still pretty hard to play bass…
I played clarinet, I played guitar, I played piano, I played violin, I played chelo, I played drums, I played fuite, but I want to try something different so I chose bass

Just stick at it! I found bass *really* difficult at first, (and I play guitar). It took me a few months to get comfortable with it. But don’t *force* your fretting hand into a vice-like grip, keep it nice and relaxed. I found playing scales half-way up the neck a good way to build up the right amount of strength. Without a relaxed technique, you will never be able to play quickly. And have *fun* – it’s a cool instrument when you get it.

nah don’t play bass :p as long as you love the sound you can learn any instrument…you can get much more of a variety of sounds from a guitar than a bass anyway
imma flute player and i want to play bass….
i have a gotoh 201 on my fender MIM its really good but the E string saddles are loose and i lose tone. it sounds awful. other strings are fine their saddles dont move without proper adjusting. the E string saddles can be easly twisted with my own hands. it wont stay stiff. anyone know what to do? should i swap for BAII?

i think flats and sharps are the same notes, like g sharp is also a flat on treble cleff (and i think bass cleff, too)

seems a little hard to remember all that;/ im a beginner haha:)

play. when you listen to music, tap out a rythmn to it,learn songs that make you practice your timekeeping(try what’s my age again) and play songs that interest you and are fun on bass(try dani california and most of the chili pepper’s stuff) and dont forget to learn at least the basic scales like minor minor harmonic, major etc. but the most important thing is love to play. if you dont youll get bored and stop so make sure its not tedious boring work. oh and improv-ing and writing really helps.
